Shaun’s Ruiru priorities

Five priorities for every part of Ruiru

These are Shaun’s proposals for representing Ruiru. They describe what an MP can actually do: speak for residents, make laws, scrutinise spending and push for Ruiru’s fair share.

  1. Fair pay and dignified work

Work in Ruiru should pay fairly, be safe and treat people with dignity.

  2. Jobs, local manufacturing and enterprise

Ruiru’s industrial base should mean more local jobs and more local businesses that grow.

  3. Affordable, quality education

Every child in Ruiru should be able to learn well, whatever their family can afford.

  4. Technology, digital skills and innovation

Ruiru’s residents should have the skills and access to compete in a digital economy.

  5. Equal opportunity and accountable representation

Every ward and every resident should get a fair share of attention and opportunity.
